Job Title: Hygiene Operative

Reporting to: Hygiene Supervisor

Shift Pattern: 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off (2x day shift 7am-7pm, 2x night shifts 7pm-7am followed by 4 days off)

Job Purpose:

An integral role within the hygiene team ensuring the necessary hygiene standard is being met, in particular those concerning Health & Safety Quality and Economy are compiled with. Following a daily hygiene schedule and ensuring cleaning materials are used in accordance with procedure.

Key Responsibilities

1. To maintain an effective factory hygiene service to the business
2. Efficiently follow the daily hygiene schedule
3. To ensure cleaning materials are accurately stored and maintained in accordance to current legislation and COSHH requirements
4. To ensure at all times the appropriate materials and equipment are used and in fit purpose
5. To use cleaning equipment in accordance to internal and external guidelines
6. Report any apparent malfunctions or misuse of cleaning equipment to the supervisor
7. Completion of hygiene records

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Confidentiality and professionalism in all undertakings
• Approachable, flexible and methodical
• Keen attention to detail, ability to solve issues

Desirable:

• Hygiene and/or industrial cleaning experience
• Experience within a food manufacturing environment or similar
