We’re hosting our 20th charity ball in November which has collectively raised over £700,000 for various charities since it began.
We raised a whopping £40,000 for children’s charity, Cash for Kids at last year’s ball. Cash for Kids provides a helping hand to disabled and disadvantaged children across Greater Manchester. Each year they hope to have thousands of pounds available for grants to different projects, small children’s charities, and individuals, all of whom are in need of help in some way. All money raised locally is spent locally and goes to children and young people under 18 throughout Greater Manchester, with mental, physical or sensory disabilities, with behavioural or psychological disorders, living in poverty or situations of deprivation, suffering through distress, abuse or neglect.
Our next annual Charity Ball will support Walking with the Wounded, a charity that helps raise much needed funds for vulnerable veterans to help them to re-integrate back into society and sustain their independence.
Mark Duerr, Managing Director of F. Duerr & Sons said:
“We are thrilled to once again host our annual charity ball to support another hugely worthy charity. We’re a family business and it’s important to us that we give back to communities and support charities that need it. We’re proud of how much we’ve raised over the past 20 years and appreciate each and every person who joins us to support the charities and give back. We’re looking forward to the same again this year!”
Michelle Williamson, Charity Manager for Cash for Kids:
“We are incredibly grateful for the donation from Duerr’s – it’s a huge amount of money that will help us to continue the important work we do for so many youngsters in our communities. A massive thank you to the team at Duerr’s and everyone who attended the ball and supported us – we simply couldn’t help as many children as we do without the support of companies like Duerr’s.”
This year’s Duerr’s Charity Ball will be held on Saturday 9th November at The Hilton Hotel Manchester. There will be top quality entertainment, prizes to be won and fabulous auction items to bid on. The theme this year will be ‘Back to the 80’s’.
