The Duerr’s team at the Floats Road factory invited the 27-year-old presenter, to come down and find out what really goes on behind the scenes of making marmalade. The only catch, he was to be dressed as the company mascot, Dippy Duerr.
Paul and Vix from The Fairclough Breakfast Show caught up with Jon throughout the morning to find out how he was living up to the challenge of making his very own marmalade.
Tina Mullen, Marketing Manager at Duerr’s commented: “National Marmalade Day is to celebrates the 508th anniversary of the arrival of marmalade in Great Britain in 1495, but it’s also about having fun. So, when Jon Harrison joined us at the factory this morning we couldn’t help but laugh watching him get up to tricks dressed as Dippy Duerr! He was a very good sport”.
As a prize for Jon’s efforts Duerr’s donated 100 free jars of marmalade to Tower 107.4 FM to give away to their listeners.
