F Duerr and Sons Ltd, the UK’s oldest remaining family owned preserves manufacturer, has presented two employees with long service awards. This now takes the total number of staff serving Duerr’s over 25 years to 11.
Evelyn Lamacraft and Mike Cullinane have worked for the company for over 25 years at its Prestage Street, Old Trafford site. Both were presented with a Tissot watch by Mark Duerr, Managing Director and Richard Duerr, Marketing Director at a celebratory lunch in Manchester.
Mike Cullinane from Chorlton is label stores person and is responsible for booking label deliveries on to the Sage system and maintaining the label stores area. As a multi-skilled operator, Mike also acts as relief machine operator.
Evelyn Lamacraft is technical manager whose responsibilities include overseeing all technical aspects of running Duerr’s two factories at Old Trafford and Wythenshawe, liaising with technical staff at all Duerr’s major retail customers, auditing all ingredient suppliers and ensuring Duerr’s products meet legal standards whilst keeping abreast of any legal changes in the UK and EU. Evelyn who lives in Partington also develops and writes product recipes.
Mark Duerr commented; “I am honoured to present these long service awards to Evelyn and Mike and would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication over the years.”
