Job Title: Production Planner

Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager

Shift Pattern:  Monday to Friday – Days – 39 hours per week

Job Purpose:

The job will be a mixture of daily planning and short/medium-term planning to a horizon of 12 weeks. To create a rolling 8-12-week plan that delivers service at 99%, cost efficiently, at optimal OAE.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Planning

  1. Ensure we have efficient rolling plans supported by materials that deliver against the service priorities.
  2. Closely partner with operations, materials, supply planning and customer services ensuring that plans are viable, executed, plan changes are communicated in a timely manner, and that performance against those plans is communicated rapidly to our CS, Supply planning and Logistics team.
  3. Escalate risks quickly, with proposed solutions

Short term Planning

  1. Create 12-week plans that deliver 99% service, identifying and flagging service risks, capacity gaps/opportunities.
  2. Generate rolling 6-8 weeks of works orders to support MRP
  3. Manage Daily MRP for some key items.
  4. Manage and maintain planning tool with new SKU’s and master data
  5. Provide data on plan attainment and SKU production rates for use in quarterly rate review
  6. Lead weekly planning meetings
  7. Work closely with various departments to ensure any requirements of the plan are planned in a timely fashion.
  8. Provide support to NPD and projects as required.

We are hiring – Hygiene Supervisor

Job Title: Hygiene Supervisor

Reporting to: Services Manager

Shift Pattern:  4 on/4 off pattern including days and nights (2x 07:00am – 19:00pm /2x 19:00pm – 07:00am)

Job Purpose:

Maintain the highest possible standards of hygiene throughout the site to ensure production of safe food. Supervising a team whose focus is to maintain and improve the hygiene standards within the factory. Ensuring all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards, this is to include daily weekly monthly and periodical tasks. Be fully trained use of all hygiene cleaning equipment including FLT Cherry Pickers, Scissor lifts etc. Liaise with internal employees. Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by control of substances hazardous to heath (COSHH). To comply with all company regulations for cleaning materials and equipment. Provide suitable cover for sickness and holidays. Verification and sign off of hygiene record sheets and other documents in a timely manner.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Train out comprehensive cleaning methods and procedures to staff and wider operations teams.
  2. Ensure staff are correctly utilised to achieve the daily operational objectives.
  3. To continually audit and review hygiene scheduling and deep cleaning effectiveness, whilst maintaining the full utilisation of technician’s materials and equipment in conjunction with other hygiene supervisors.
  4. Review and completion of hygiene records.
  5. Compiling and completion of the weekend hygiene plan with consideration for engineering and operational requirements.
  6. Use all chemicals on site in accordance with COSHH regulations and customer standards.
  7. Drive GMP standards on site, leading and driving hygiene standards.
  8. Ensure that all staff is trained and competent to carry out tasks assigned to them and develop a multiskilled workforce.
  9. Ensure hygiene activities are fully compliant to customer and BRC requirements
  10. Ensure team compliance with health and safety regulations
  11. Liaise with pest control contactor
  12. Ensure segregation storage and timely removal of all waste streams, including recycling, hazardous and confidential waste
  13. Adopt and apply continues improvement tools and techniques to maintain and improve hygiene team performance
  14. Ensure all documentation and forms are completed and maintained including cleaning instruction cards (CIC’s)
  15. Provide constructive feedback to colleagues

Skills and Experience Required:

  • A competent individual with proven experience of supervising and leading a hygiene team within a food environment
  • Proven experience of driving improvements in site standards
  • Knowledge of cleaning systems and methodology
  • COSHH awareness
  • HACCP Level 3
  • Level 3 managing food safety
  • Attention to detail.

Job Title: PNB Production Chargehand

Reporting to: PNB Shift Manager

Shift Pattern: Nights Monday to Friday 12 hour shifts including days and nights (07:00am – 19:00pm / 19:00pm – 07:00am)

Job Purpose:

To assist the management team in ensuring the planned quantity of product is produced to specification, whilst maintaining standards of product and people safety. To keep abreast of changes within the company as a whole and promote a continuous improvement environment with regard to efficiency and accuracy of the products we produce.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. To ensure the correct raw materials and packaging are available at the work site prior to start of production.
  2. To ensure the staff allocated to the work area hold the relevant skills and qualifications.
  3. To be skilled in all areas of the operation you are in charge of. Move towards gaining skills and experience in a timely and effective manner in areas of weakness.
  4. To start up, run and shut down designated plant to set procedures.
  5. To follow the daily production plan or department schedule ensuring due care and attention is made with the identification of the variety and product types.
  6. To ensure the correct quality of product is produced / packed with regard to quality assurance systems and procedures.
  7. To ensure efficient running conditions are met whilst minimising down time.
  8. To train others as requested by the management team. Ensure the standards are met as required by F Duerr & Sons Ltd procedures.
  9. To be proactive in the reporting of errors and or non-conformance to specification of product and machinery.
  10. To ensure a high standard is met as required by F Duerr & Sons with regard to record keeping associated with any process.
  11. To be compliant to the standards expected in the use of moving / non-moving mechanical machinery.
  12. To effectively communicate with the management team and or other departments as and when required.
  13. To operate the plant when there are times of absence on the line.

Job Purpose:

As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the production lines. You will also ensure that production plans and targets are met. You will display initiative, reliability, commitment and self- motivation whilst working on the lines, taking ownership of our products and delivering the best quality to all our customers, working in accordance with a ‘right first time’ operating system.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. To ensure the correct raw materials and packaging are available at the work site prior to start of production.

4. To report errors and or non-conformance to specification of product in an efficient and timely manner.
